MR. BIG LIVE AT WACKEN OPEN AIR 2024 DVD

Mr. Big – Live at Wacken Open Air 2024: A Triumphant Farewell

Bringing their “The BIG Finish” tour to the “Holy Ground” of Wacken, Mr. Big delivered a masterful and emotional performance that served as a perfect goodbye to their European festival fans.

Despite a daytime slot, the energy was immense. The band showcased the technical virtuosity that defined their career, with Paul Gilbert (guitar) and Billy Sheehan (bass) displaying jaw-dropping interplay, most notably during the drill-solo frenzy of “Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy.” Eric Martin was in fine voice, charismatic as ever, while drummer Nick D’Virgilio honored the late Pat Torpey’s legacy flawlessly.

The setlist was a smart balance tailored for the massive crowd, mixing hard-hitting rockers like “Addicted to That Rush” and “Colorado Bulldog” with massive, field-wide singalongs for the acoustic classics “To Be With You” and “Wild World.” Concluding with high-energy covers of “Shy Boy” and The Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” Mr. Big proved they are bowing out at the absolute top of their game. It was a bittersweet, but incredibly powerful, final curtain call.
