Foreigner was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. The band’s original lead singer, Lou Gramm, keyboardist Al Greenwood, and bassist Rick Wills were present to accept the honor. Notably absent was founding member Mick Jones, who was unable to attend due to health issues.
Sammy Hagar had the honor of inducting Foreigner, expressing his regret over Jones’s absence and praising the band’s contributions to rock music. He highlighted “Jukebox Hero” as “one of the greatest rock vocal performances ever.”
